The Stone Home - Home of Kenneth O. Stone and Maxine
(Cales) Stone. They raised the five Stone kids here, Ike, Gary (Buddy), Ron, Rocky, and Drema (Dee). Some years after Kenneth's death, Maxine married Uncle Slim (Ambrose Baldwin) They raised one son there, Luke.
Aunt Maxine's house was always a very special place to visit, especially in Winter - I probably spent at least three Christmas breaks there.
The wodshed was built about 1966 from logs brought around from the Lucy House. The cow shed was added later. The Shingles on the cowshed were made in the Summer - Fall of 1965 by Papa Julian, Uncle Everrette, and cousin Emmett Ward. The shingles were originally used as roofing material for the 'new' woodshed, smokehouse, and chicken house. All were built from logs from the Lucy House.
